The Audi TT RS turns up the radical look and power with ABT
The new Audi TT RS has fallen into the hands of the ABT team to squeeze a little more out of its 2.5-litre engine and offer a more radical look

Audi kicked off the year with a facelift for its small coupé, the TT, a restyle not especially deep but which gave it an even sportier touch, based on the latest changes the brand has applied to the rest of its models. These changes extended to the most radical version, the TT RS, a base that ABT has now taken on to make it even more radical in several areas.
As a specialist in tuning models from the VAG Group, this is not the first time ABT has got its hands on the TT RS. In fact, a couple of years ago it used the Roadster version of the TT RS as a “guinea pig” to push it to the limit as never before, and after the tuning work it managed to extract 100 extra CV from its 2.5-litre engine, raising its power to no less than 500 CV, and also reaching a maximum torque of 570 Nm.

On this occasion, however, ABT has not decided to go all out and replicate or try to surpass its previous milestone, although we will find mechanical changes in its tuning of the new Audi TT RS. It should be remembered that the new Audi TT RS still has the same 2.5 TFSI with 400 CV and 450 Nm of torque, linked to an S Tronic automatic gearbox, which now, with updates to the control unit, delivers 455 CV of power and torque of 528 Nm.
In line with the increase made to the Audi TT RS, ABT offers buyers a exhaust line made of stainless steel of its own design, created for the occasion, which eliminates the two oval exhaust outlets fitted as standard and replaces them with two double outlets at the ends with round tips in a black finish.

Finally, the aggressiveness of its heart will be expressed outwardly through a styling kit that gives it an even more radical appearance without clashing too much. To this end, ABT has created a bumper with more pronounced lines at its ends, including vertical fins at the air intakes and horizontal ones on the outer part, in carbon fibre, a material also used to create the aggressive front splitter, the mirror housings, the side sills and the elaborate rear diffuser. The finishing touch is the wheels, which can be chosen in matt black or gloss black, and in either 19 or 20 inches.
In addition, and to give all buyers greater peace of mind, all parts fitted by ABT to the Audi TT RS will carry a four-year or 160,000 km warranty.
