The BMW iX1 and iX2 receive the entry-level eDrive20 variant, already available in Spain
Both the BMW iX1 and the BMW iX2 receive an entry-level powertrain from the range called eDrive20, consisting of a single electric motor producing 204 CV

First in 2022 with the X1 and a year later, in 2023, with the X2, BMW presented the new generations of both models which, despite sharing many common elements, are aimed at in principle different audiences: if you want a classic-style premium compact SUV you will lean towards the X1, but if you prefer a sportier look you will go straight for the X2.
Both models were also launched at the time alongside their fully electric versions, iX1 and iX2, both also sharing the same powertrain eDrive30, which consists of two motors, each located on one axle, to achieve a combined output of 343 CV and a torque of 494 Nm. This configuration is linked to a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 64.7 kWh, which gives them a range of 438 kilometres for the iX1 and 449 kilometres for the iX2 according to the WLTP cycle.

Now, the marketing of a new powertrain for both electric models officially begins in Spain. It is the entry-level eDrive20, which uses only one electric motor located on the front axle, delivering an output of 204 CV together with a torque of 250 Nm. These figures allow it to accelerate to 100 km/h in 8.6 seconds and have a top speed limited to 170 km/h. The lithium-ion battery used is still the same one with a capacity of 64.7 kWh, so the range stands between 439 and 478 kilometres according to the WLTP cycle.

As expected, both the BMW iX1 and the BMW iX2 will share trim levels, with the exception that there is an additional trim for the iX1. Below we break down what each equipment level includes so it is clearer, because as standard you will already find the following items:
