The new DS N°7 from DS Automobiles is set to replace the current DS 7
The DS N°7 marks a new stage of maturity for the French brand, combining refinement, comfort and advanced technology in an SUV that aims to become a new sales benchmark.
DS Automobiles, the premium brand of Stellantis based in Paris, has just unveiled the DS N°7, the natural successor to the successful DS 7, which has been on the market since 2018.
This new compact SUV represents the first major renewal of a model in the history of the brand, founded in 2014, and in this case adopts the modern STLA Medium platform of the group, already used in several electric vehicles from Opel, Jeep and Peugeot.

The DS N°7 positions itself as a premium SUV that combines compact dimensions with a level of comfort and equipment typical of higher segments. With a length of 4.66 metres -five centimetres more than its predecessor-, it keeps a width of 1.90 metres and a height of 1.63 metres; but it gains wheelbase, with 5 cm more, reaching 2.79 metres. This improvement noticeably increases interior space, especially for rear seats. The boot, meanwhile, offers between 500 and 560 litres depending on the version, and the 40/20/40 split-folding rear seats provide a flat loading floor.
There is no doubt that it is a DS
In terms of styling, the vehicle keeps the characteristic elegance of DS, with a dynamic and fluid design. Highlights include the new front light signature -shared with the flagship DS N°8- 18 to 21-inch alloy wheels, a slightly curved roof inspired by the Aero Sport Lounge concept, and a 30 percent increase in rear side glass area.
It is also worth noting some interesting details, such as the optional panoramic roof, which is 40 percent larger. Six body colours are offered, including the new Silk Green, as well as two-tone options with a contrasting black roof and bonnet.

Versions on sale
All available versions of this new compact SUV are electrified to a greater or lesser extent. There are three purely electric E-Tense versions:
• E-Tense FWD. This entry-level version has a single motor on the front axle producing 169 kW -with temporary boost up to 191 kW-, paired with a 73.7 kWh battery pack, giving up to 543 km of range per charge under the WLTP homologation cycle.
• E-Tense FWD Long Range. Also with a single front motor, but with power rising to 180 kW -with boost up to 206 kW-. The battery pack in this case is 97.2 kWh and the WLTP range rises to 740 km. Its excellent drag coefficient of 0.26 Cd also contributes to this. This version is ideal for those who cover long distances, offering more than 450 km of real-world range even at average motorway speeds of 120 km/h.
• E-Tense AWD Long Range. Finally, at the top of the range, this version features dual electric motors with a combined output of 257 kW -boost up to 276 kW-, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds and up to 679 km of range.

All electric versions limit top speed to 190 km/h and support DC fast charging of up to 160 kW, requiring just 27 minutes to go from 20 to 80 percent charge on versions fitted with the larger-capacity battery pack, and 31 minutes with the standard one.
All these versions also include as standard battery pack thermal preconditioning -automatic or manual-, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function and Plug&Charge.
Alternatives to the purely electric versions
Additionally, there is another mild-hybrid version of 145 CV with a 1.2-litre turbo three-cylinder petrol engine and a 48 V electrical system, capable of running in electric mode on short urban journeys. The French manufacturer has also announced a more powerful hybrid version for later.

Reservations in Germany will open in May 2026, with deliveries expected in the autumn. Prices have not yet been officially announced, although in France an entry-level version is already offered from 64,200 euros.
