The ten electric cars with the longest range on a single charge
The electric car market is growing strongly, and we can find vehicles with considerable range, equipped with powerful batteries

Electric cars are increasingly present on our roads, but range remains one of the reasons why they don’t seem to be fully appealing to buyers. Yet the electric car market is not made up only of small city cars. Major brands offer electric cars with powerful batteries that allow them to cover many kilometres.
The cars with the longest range are not necessarily the cheapest, nor are they designed only for cities. These are vehicles that can cover hundreds of kilometres on a single charge, so that excuse does not hold up. At least, among the high-end electric cars that make up the list of the 10 electric cars with the longest range. The distance figures are approximate, as they may vary slightly for various reasons, and are based on the WLTP cycle.

| MODEL | RANGE (approximate) |
|---|---|
| Tesla Model S Long Range | 610 kilometres |
| Tesla Model 3 Long Range | 560 kilometres. |
| Tesla Model X Long Range | 505 kilometres |
| Jaguar I-Pace | 470 kilometres |
| Kia e-Niro | 453 kilometres |
| Kia Soul EV | 450 kilometres |
| Hyundai Kona Electric | 450 kilometres |
| Mercedes EQC | 417 kilometres |
| Audi e-tron | 399 kilometres |
| Renault ZOE | 394 kilometres |
Tesla, the brand with the longest range
Among all the brands offering electric cars, Tesla stands out. The top three places on this list are occupied by the three cars from the most popular brand. The Tesla Model S, the Tesla Model 3 and the Tesla Model X, in their Long Range versions, have the best figures when it comes to range. The Tesla Model S Long Range offers 610 kilometres, which is not bad at all.
This model is followed by the Tesla Model 3, with 560 kilometres, and in third place is the Tesla Model X, with a range of 505 kilometres. From this model onwards we drop below the 500-kilometre threshold, and reach fourth place with the Jaguar I-Pace, which achieves a considerable 460 kilometres.

Kia and Hyundai, the best-placed Asian models
This list continues with three Korean models, two Kia and one Hyundai. The Kia e-Niro, with 453 kilometres, and the Kia Soul EV, which covers 450 kilometres on a single battery charge, make way for the Hyundai Kona Electric, which matches the previous one. In eighth place is the new Mercedes EQC, which represents another of the luxury electric cars, although the brand’s prestige does not manage to match the models of the American manufacturer, which remains the leader in electric mobility.

Another German car, designed to compete in the electric vehicle market, takes ninth place. It is the Audi e-tron, which manages to travel 399 kilometres. The tenth and final place in this ranking goes to a car that has little in common with the rest. The Renault ZOE is not a luxury car, but it is one of the first to arrive and take the lead in sales.
The small city car Renault manages to fool everyone and rank among a list where most are large cars, by design, equipment and intent. In a few years, and if battery technology continues to evolve, we will not be long in seeing more affordable cars with greater range on the market.
