A Dacia Logan takes part in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring
A Dacia Logan with the engine of a Renault Mégane taking part in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring?

If we say 24 Hours of Nürburgring, you may think of one of the toughest endurance races in the world, where the most advanced competition GTs on the planet take part. Of course, this Dacia Logan was not going to miss the event for anything in the world. The Ollis Garage team has prepared this charming saloon to run on the Green Hell.
For this Dacia Logan, the important thing was to take part, and that is no small feat, since it competed in this edition of the 24 Hours of Nürburgring against exceptional rivals such as the BMW M6 and the Audi R8 LMS. All the heavy artillery! Far from being discouraged, Ollis Garage, with the Dacia Logan at the front, headed out onto the formidable German circuit.

The Dacia Logan with GT aspirations
It is important to highlight that this Dacia Logan is not an ordinary Dacia Logan. It is prepared for the track and has been racing since 2014. The Nürburgring Dacia Logan is equipped with a 2.0-litre engine capable of delivering 165 CV of power. This unit comes from a Renault Mégane and also features larger-diameter brake discs at the front.
Its weight has been reduced and it has safety elements such as a roll cage, safety harnesses, a rear spoiler and competition wheels. Olivier Kriese and Jürgen Bussmann were in charge of getting this charming Dacia Logan to take part in one of the toughest events in the world: the 24 Hours of Nürburgring.

These two racing enthusiasts were joined by Michael Lachmeyer and Misha Charoudin, a YouTuber. This edition of the 24 Hours of Nürburgring was marked by harsh weather conditions. We agree that these ingredients are not going to produce a winner on the German track, but its resilience deserves recognition.
The Nürburgring Dacia Logan took 13 minutes to complete one lap of the circuit and reached a top speed of just over 200 km/h. That said, the Logan managed to finish the race and see the longed-for checkered flag. In the end, Ollis Garage’s Dacia Logan completed the event in 98th position out of 121 entrants.
Nevertheless, it finished fourth out of five in the SP3 class, ahead of a Opel Manta that had to retire from the demanding regularity event.
