The Dodge Charger electric 2027 comes standard with the NACS port in the United States
The 2027 Charger Daytona improves compatibility with the most widespread charging infrastructure in North America, but it keeps the same challenges that have marked its trajectory so far.
The Dodge Charger Daytona EV for 2027, which can already be reserved in the United States, has had the honor of becoming the first electric vehicle of the brand that comes standard with the NACS charging port in North America. A feature that will allow it to directly access more than 25,000 Tesla Superchargers in that market, thus avoiding the need for an additional adapter.
The starting price of the two-door Charger Daytona Scat Pack has risen, however, noticeably compared to the previous model. It now starts at $74,490 (including destination charges), which is $12,500 more than it cost last year. Customers interested in the four-door version will have to pay an additional $500.

Stellantis states that it will include an NACS-to-J1772 adapter with the vehicle for AC charging, but those who wish to connect to CCS1 fast-charging points, such as those of Electrify America or EVgo, will have to purchase an NACS-to-CCS1 adapter separately.
Power is not lacking
Regarding its technical specifications, the Scat Pack maintains the same all-wheel-drive system with two electric motors delivering 630 horsepower, with an extra 40 CV for 10 seconds when activating the PowerShot mode. It also retains the peculiar Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust, a system that artificially generates the sound of a V8 engine, along with special driving modes such as Drift and Donut.
It also features a 94 kWh battery pack with usable capacity, with which it is capable of covering, according to the manufacturer, about 267 miles on a single charge. That is, around 430 kilometers. When it comes to recharging, we must remember that it has a 400V architecture, making it possible to go from 20 to 80 percent charge of the battery pack in about 24 minutes.

Since its launch in its 2024 edition, the electric Charger Daytona has faced criticism for assembly quality problems, software failures and, above all, the absence of the traditional V8 engine that so characterizes muscle cars of Dodge. These issues have led to modest sales and a certain frustration among owners. To counter this situation, Stellantis introduced a gasoline six-cylinder version this year, although there is still no clear data on its sales volume.
