The European Mustang will come as standard with upgraded chassis and brakes

Ford has revealed new technical information about the European version of the new Mustang. The sixth generation of the famous American sports car will go on sale in the Old Continent at the beginning of 2015. Its main details we cover here on the occasion of its international presentation on 5 December, and among them the debut of independent rear suspension and the new connectivity features of the technology equipment deserve highlighting.
The American brand has confirmed in this recent announcement that the Mustang intended for Europe will be equipped as standard with the upgraded brakes and chassis packages that are optional in North America. The first package includes four-piston front brake discs measuring 352 x 32 mm and single-piston rear discs measuring 330 x 25 mm for the version with the 2.3 EcoBoost engine. The Mustang with the 5.0 V8 Coyote fits six-piston front discs of 380 x 34 mm with Brembo calipers and the same rear discs as the first version.
The package affecting the chassis contains upgraded rear springs, bushings and shock absorbers, a reinforced rear anti-roll bar, a more efficient cooling system and specific settings for the ABS, stability control and electronic power steering, among other components.
As mentioned earlier, the engines available on the European market will be the 2.3 EcoBoost with 310 CV and 434 Nm of peak torque, and the 5.0 V8 Coyote with 435 CV and 542 Nm of peak torque. The 3.7 V6 Cyclone, which can be purchased in America, is left out. The rest of the technical information will be revealed later, as Ford has indicated.
