Karma Revero GTE Hybrid Cars ECO
The Karma Revero is now history: the Gyesera will take over
With the farewell to the Revero, Karma Automotive turns the page and begins a new chapter, keeping alive the essence of that visionary project that Henrik Fisker started almost two decades ago.
Production of the Karma Revero has been definitively halted, thus ending the commercial life of the heir to the ill-fated Fisker Karma, a four-door luxury saloon with a distinctly sporty character and extended-range technology that survived only a year on the market before the company founded by Henrik Fisker went bankrupt.
After the company’s collapse, Karma Automotive acquired what little remained of Fisker and established its base in Irvine, California. From 2016 onwards, it began assembling the Revero at a small plant in Moreno Valley. Although it retained much of the original Karma’s design and components, such as the body panels, suspension and cabin, the company introduced some interesting improvements, among which a larger-capacity 28 kWh battery pack and a 1.5-litre petrol engine supplied by BMW stand out, replacing the previous General Motors unit.

In its final version, the Revero boasted a total range of almost 600 km, of which around 130 km could be covered in fully electric mode without consuming a single drop of petrol. An important aspect that should not be overlooked, and which also applies to the original Fisker Karma, is that both models belong to the exclusive club of plug-in hybrids that accept DC fast charging, which allows them to reach a 90 per cent charge in just 34 minutes. A notable feature considering the Fisker Karma reached the market in 2011, almost 15 years ago.
The 2025 Karma Revero, priced close to 175,000 dollars, retained the original aluminium structure combined with composite and aluminium panels. Its hybrid system delivered 536 horsepower and 746 Nm of torque, enough to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in a little over four and a half seconds.
After the farewell to the Revero, we welcome the Gyesera
The gap left by the Karma Revero will, however, be filled by its successor. The new Gyesera uses the same aluminium platform inherited from the Fisker Karma and also retains the Revero’s 28 kWh battery pack, but raises the output to 566 horsepower, while torque falls slightly to 740 Nm. The Gyesera’s interior, on the other hand, is completely new and much more modern. Nor should we forget its new bodywork, which combines carbon fibre with aluminium.

Karma Automotive is already accepting reservations for the Gyesera upon a 5,000-dollar refundable deposit, should the customer ultimately back out and not complete the purchase. First customer deliveries of the Karma Gyesera are scheduled for 2026, although the exact date has not been officially confirmed by Karma Automotive.
Originally, production was announced for the fourth quarter of 2025, and the first units were expected to reach customers at the end of that year or early the following one. However, as of 31 December 2025, no updates have been published confirming the actual start of production, and several recent sources indicate that the timetable may have slipped or that the car is still in the preparation phase. In any case, in principle, this should happen at some point in 2026.
