Seat León e-Hybrid 2024: the PHEV you want and can now afford, with 133 km of electric range
SEAT updates its star model and adds a new 19.7 kWh battery that allows it to travel up to 130 real kilometres in electric mode with a consumption of 0 litres
The SEAT León, one of the most iconic compacts on the Spanish market, celebrates its 25th anniversary with a plug-in hybrid version and five-door and estate versions. The SEAT León e-HYBRID 2024 arrives with significant improvements in technology, electric range and equipment, consolidating its position as a benchmark option in the plug-in hybrid segment. And best of all, the brand offers a warranty extension of 5 years for just €100 or 10 years for just €500.

New e-HYBRID powertrain
The León e-HYBRID 2024 combines a 1.5 TSI petrol engine producing 150 CV (previously a 1.4) with a 115 CV electric motor, reaching a combined output of 204 CV and a maximum torque of 350 Nm. This combination delivers dynamic and efficient driving, reducing the homologated consumption to 0.4 l/100 km and CO₂ emissions to just 8 g/km, according to the WLTP cycle.
The big news is its 19.7 kWh lithium-ion battery (previously 11 kWh), which provides a range of up to 133 km in 100% electric mode, positioning it as a leader in its category. In addition, it allows fast charging with 50 kW direct current (DC), recharging from 10% to 80% in just 26 minutes.

High-tech equipment
The new SEAT León improves not only mechanically but also in technology. Its standard Matrix LED headlights offer precise and safe lighting without dazzling other drivers. The infotainment system includes a touchscreen of up to 12.9 inches, with backlit controls and full connectivity thanks to SEAT Connect, which allows remote management of charging and the vehicle’s climate control.
In addition, the model incorporates advanced driver assistance systems, such as adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition and autonomous lane change assist, offering a level 2 semi-autonomous driving experience.

Two versions: Style and FR
The SEAT León e-HYBRID is available in two trims: Style, focused on elegance and functionality, and FR, which enhances the sporty character of the model.
Style:
The Style version is ideal for those looking for an efficient and comfortable vehicle, with a complete technology package but without excess. This trim includes as standard elements such as:
- 10.25-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, with full connectivity via SEAT Connect.
- Front and rear parking sensors, which make manoeuvring easier.
- Dual-zone climate control, which ensures comfort on every journey.
- Traffic sign recognition and adaptive cruise control, offering greater safety on the road.

Its focus on functionality and practicality makes it an excellent choice for everyday use, without neglecting efficiency and sustainability thanks to the plug-in hybrid system.
FR version:
On the other hand, the FR version is designed for those seeking a sporty style and greater personalisation. This trim includes premium features such as:
- Matrix LED headlights, which ensure precise lighting and improve visibility in any situation.
- A 12.9-inch touchscreen, the largest available on the model, with backlit controls for managing volume and climate.
- Sporty exterior details, such as specific bumpers, FR badges and exclusive design alloy wheels.
- Sport suspension for more dynamic driving.
- Advanced assistants such as autonomous lane change and level 2 semi-autonomous driving.

Dynamics and feel
This model has improved in every respect, but where it stands out most is in connectivity and technology. Its new 12.9-inch screen (10.25 on the most basic versions) has very good image quality, and it also features new software that promises notable fluidity and responsiveness. There are three driving modes: ECO, NORMAL and PERFORMANCE. Finally, we can say that the driving modes serve a purpose. In NORMAL and ECO modes, the car works wonderfully, with an appropriate throttle response and a brake pedal feel that works great in urban environments. However, when we want to unlock the full potential of the model and activate PERFORMANCE mode, the car responds superbly, the steering becomes firmer and the suspension, which is already firm and keeps the car well planted, gains a little more stiffness to settle the model on twistier roads.
It produces 204 CV, more than enough for anyone who wants to have fun. Its two motors can work together to deliver this total output, but the brand indicates that this is only available for 18 seconds to facilitate overtaking, merging, etc. It also has two energy distribution modes, the HYBRID mode and the EV mode. If we select EV mode, electric energy consumption takes priority over petrol. However, if we select HYBRID mode, the car automatically manages and stores energy to give us the lowest possible consumption for longer.

We covered a distance of 130 kilometres with this model at an average speed of 87 km/h across the province of León, and it returned ridiculously low consumption of 1.8 L/100. This is also due to its new 1.5 TSI engine, which offers 25% more efficiency than the previous 1.4 TSI version.
Prices
The SEAT León e-HYBRID 2024 has a base price of €41,350 for the standard five-door version, while the Sportstourer estate model starts at €43,020. The range is structured into three equipment levels for both bodystyles, with the following approximate prices:

These prices, which do not include promotions or discounts, can be significantly reduced thanks to initiatives such as the Plan MOVES III, which offers up to €4,500 in aid for models with more than 90 km of electric range. This plan includes a base incentive of €2,500, to which another €2,000 in additional funding is added for meeting the established sustainable mobility criteria.
