The BMW iX3 is already a runaway sales success even before reaching the market

The new iX3 is managing not only to catch the attention of BMW’s usual customers, but also that of many others who until now have been driving a car from another brand.

The reception the public has given the Neue Klasse from BMW is exceeding the expectations of the Bavarian manufacturer itself. The new BMW iX3, presented at the IAA Mobility in Munich last September, is piling up orders well above initial forecasts.

The new BMW iX3 is not only succeeding with private customers, but also as a vehicle for company fleets and rental companies. According to German media, some sources within BMW itself assure that order volume is very high.

The Bavarian manufacturer has already set to work to meet this unexpectedly high level of demand, ramping up production of the first model of the Neue Klasse at its Hungarian plant in Debrecen, and also plans to introduce an additional work shift earlier than originally planned.

BMW has hit the mark

One of BMW’s most important achievements with the new iX3 is that it is managing to attract new customers who had never owned a BMW before. According to the company’s data, one in three orders comes from drivers who currently drive a car from another brand. A very positive figure for BMW, suggesting that with the iX3 it has managed to capture the attention of new customers who until now had not been drawn to the Bavarian brand’s models.

This last point is even more striking when we consider that the new iX3 has not yet reached European streets and roads and, therefore, all orders placed so far have been placed blind, relying solely and exclusively on the images and videos of the vehicle published to date.

The first iX3 units are expected to reach dealerships in March, and at that same moment the first test drives will also begin, which will probably drive demand even higher.

Launch version of the BMW iX3

The first version of the iX3 to reach the market will be the 50 xDrive, with a dual electric motor setup capable of delivering a combined 345 kW of power and 645 Nm of torque. This version’s outstanding performance allows it to go from 0 to 100 km/h

in just 4.9 seconds, with its top speed electronically limited to 210 km/h.

Equipped with a 108.7 kWh net (115 kWh gross) battery pack with cylindrical cells and an 800V architecture, the BMW promises a WLTP range of up to 805 km. This makes it one of the most impressive vehicles in this respect. It also supports ultra-fast DC charging at a maximum power of 400 kW, making it possible to charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 21 minutes. It takes only 10 minutes to add 372 km of range.

As for pricing, Bmw Ix3 2026 Neue Klasse 00002in Germany it starts at 68,900 euros for the base version without extras. That price will obviously rise considerably if you opt for a high level of equipment.
