The new Lotus Emira V6 SE with 400 CV is now available to order in Spain
The Lotus Emira receives specific upgrades to its six-cylinder engine, now called the V6 SE, along with other overall improvements across the entire range

A year ago, when it seemed the Lotus Emira and its combustion engines would disappear from the lineup, the Hethel-based brand expanded the range with the introduction of the Turbo SE version, which matched the V6 version’s power output but slightly surpassed it in performance. This latter version is now updated and renamed V6 SE, a move that makes it clear that the Emira remains a very important model for the brand’s sales despite its shift toward electrification.
The new Lotus Emira V6 SE continues to use the renowned Toyota V6 engine, a 3,500 cc twin-turbo unit that delivers 400 CV of power and 420 Nm of torque when paired with the six-speed manual gearbox with limited-slip differential or, alternatively, 430 Nm with the optional automatic gearbox. With this configuration, the Emira V6 SE accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 and 4.2 seconds respectively, while the top speed is limited to 290 km/h in both cases.
For this new V6 SE version, the Lotus engineers took the opportunity to install a new compression brace for the manual gearbox, which delivers more precise gear changes. In addition, the dampers have been recalibrated and there have been minor adjustments to the wheel alignment, all to achieve a more incisive response and greater ride comfort. Two chassis and suspension settings are also available: Tour mode, intended for everyday use, offers a balance between dynamic performance and comfort, while Sport mode features slightly firmer settings for enhanced dynamic poise and feel.

As part of its standard equipment, the Lotus Emira V6 SE comes with features such as the following:
- Exclusive badges
- Extended Black Pack
- 20-inch forged alloy wheels
- Four-piston AP Racing brake calipers with metal braided lines, painted red
- Alcantara leather upholstery
- Aluminium pedals
That said, the Emira V6 SE also stands out for its high degree of personalisation, thanks to 15 available exterior colours, seven interior ambiences, four further finishes for the brake calipers and eight wheel designs.
It’s worth recalling that alongside this V6 SE version sits the entry-level version of the range, called Turbo, which uses a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder inline engine developed with Mercedes-AMG and producing 360 CV. This same engine is used in the Turbo SE version, the difference being that for this model the power rises to 400 CV, reducing the 0 to 100 km/h time from 4.4 seconds to 4.0 seconds, and in both cases using the eight-speed DCT automatic transmission, also supplied by Mercedes-AMG.

It should be noted that, taking advantage of the arrival of the Emira V6 SE from Lotus, the rest of the Emira range has also received a series of improvements, such as a new cooling circuit routing, which increases capacity while reducing the vehicle’s overall weight. The climate control system has been recalibrated, the engine thermostat’s opening temperature has been raised from 65°C to 75°C and, finally, the DCT dual-clutch transmission has been recalibrated for faster gear changes. In terms of safety, the optional Extended Co-Driver Pack now includes Adaptive Cruise Control (automatic transmission only), Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Door Opening Warning and High Beam Assist.
The Lotus Emira range in Spain starts at €100,100 for the Turbo version, €112,300 for the Turbo SE, and finally the V6 SE starts at €120,400.
