Xpeng confirms the launch of the L05 SUV in Europe
The Chinese manufacturer will expand its range of electric models in the European market at the beginning of next year, 2027, with the introduction of the L05 SUV.
The Xpeng L05, already available in China under the name Mona L05, will also arrive in Europe soon, with Germany being one of the priority European markets for the Chinese manufacturer.
This has been confirmed by the company itself. To learn the specific details of the European version -prices, equipment and powertrain options- we will, however, have to wait until next January at the Brussels Motor Show.

Arrival in the German market is planned for the early part of that same year.
Key specifications of this electric SUV
In China, the L05 is positioned as the most ambitious model in the range, above the M03 and the L03. It is a mid-size SUV measuring roughly 4.90 metres in length. Its exact dimensions are 4.87 metres long, 1.93 wide and 1.64 tall, with a wheelbase of 2.94 metres. The boot offers 702 litres of capacity, expandable to 1,913 litres when the rear seats are folded. Fully electric versions also add a front boot of 102 litres.
The cabin prioritises practicality and comfort. It has 41 storage spaces spread throughout the interior, including a six-litre compartment in the centre tunnel and another of ten litres at the rear. The front seats feature a massage function and can be fully reclined with a single lever. The voice assistant recognises commands in Chinese and English and allows for fluid dialogue.

Instead of the traditional instrument cluster behind the steering wheel, the driver of the L05 gets a 26.8-inch head-up display, complemented by a 17.3-inch central touchscreen. Top trims add an identical second screen for rear passengers.
As for the powertrains, all fully electric versions feature a 183 kW motor on the rear axle. Energy is stored in LFP batteries of 58.2 kWh or 71.1 kWh, which are homologated for between 535 and 635 kilometres under the Chinese CLTC homologation cycle. The extended-range variants (EREV) combine that same electric motor with a 37.2 kWh LFP battery and a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol generator. They thus achieve 310 kilometres of electric range under CLTC and a total of up to 1,310 kilometres when a full tank and a charged battery are combined.
In the Chinese market the L05 starts at 144,800 yuan, which is equivalent to around 19,400 euros. In any case, we should not expect such a competitive price in the European market.
